Final touches completed on Deger 5000 SunTracker – Caledon, Ontario.
The tracker in the above photo is one of a pair installed on a hillside site near Bolton that together have almost 12 kW of modules. Deger’s unique tracking system aims the array always at the brightest point in the sky, producing maximum power even in indirect light.
The modules are Sharp 240 Watt Monocrystalline, paired with Enphase M215 micro inverters. The bases were precast and delivered by truck to the site where a crane lifted them into place on a flat bed of gravel.
Both trackers have performed flawlessly since they were commissioned in June 2011 and power production is on target.
