The new FIT rates and rules were announced today. Although the new rates are lower than expected, the announcement has already prompted some panel manufacturers to reduce their cost per watt in anticipation of softened demand. Cost reductions and efficiencies by all parties may make the industry viable in the medium term even with the lower incentives. Read more..
